Instrument Tips For Recording Sessions

DRUMS: Use our drums for a small rental fee and save yourself alot of work and set up time.  Also our set is designed specifically for recording and is tuned, mic'd, and set to studio specs.  If you wish to bring your own set please understand it will take about an hour to set up and mic the set.  Also it would be a good idea to replace your heads and tune them for the session.  Some damping is necessary to eliminate excess ringing.

BASS: For recording purposes it is best just to use you bass guitar direct into the console for the session.  We can apply effects, eq, and dynamics processing.  If you have a special sound that you achieve with your rig then it would be wise to consult the engineer for advice if it would be best to bring in your equipment for the effect.   Don't forget new strings and batteries for better sound!

GUITAR: It is best to bring your equipment for the desired tone and settings you are used to for your session.  New strings and batteries will assure quality signal for the recording.

KEYBOARDS: You can bring your own keyboards or modules if you are looking for specific sounds that you are firmiliar with.  We have the Yamaha S90, 88 weighted key synthesizer that you can use at no charge if you wish. This keyboards uses real weighted hammer action and the worlds best samples to give realistic sounding instruments.

It is best to check all your instruments and equipment before you get to the studio!  It is a waste of time and money to come unprepared!
